Getting started with WhatCopilot
Create your account, connect a Whatnot shop, import the Seller Weekly Orders Report CSV, and open your first dashboard in minutes.
WhatCopilot turns your official Whatnot Seller Weekly Orders Report into sales KPIs, estimated margin (when COGS is filled), product/buyer/livestream insights, inventory tools, AI visuals, and Orion — an AI copilot grounded in your shop data.
What you will set up
This guide walks you from zero to a useful workspace: account (or demo), shop, first CSV import, then the Dashboard and the rest of the product.
Step-by-step
- Create an account on Register, or open the demo for a read-only tour.
- Add a Whatnot shop from the workspace shop switcher (seller account name).
- Import a CSV via Imports or the header import menu — choose the shop, upload the Seller Weekly Orders Report.
- Wait until the import status is completed (the list polls automatically while jobs are pending or processing).
- Open the Dashboard and pick a period (7d / 30d / 90d / all).
What unlocks after the first import
- Dashboard — buyer revenue, net revenue, estimated margin, AOV, live hours, hourly rate
- Statistics — trends, composition, top products/categories/formats/lives/countries
- Products, Buyers, Livestreams — tables + show cockpit (lineup, pricing, timeline)
- Calendar — plan lives; open an event to prepare the show
- Inventory — stock, COGS, low/out alerts; connect into a show lineup
- Orion and Visuals — AI grounded in imported data (shared monthly quota)
Typical first-week use cases
- Validate that net revenue and refunds look right after one weekly export.
- Identify top products and livestreams before planning the next show.
- Schedule a slot, connect inventory in the show cockpit, then generate a sell timeline.
- Ask Orion for a period summary once enough history is loaded.
- Seed inventory from sold SKUs before a busy live week.
Limits and prerequisites
- You need at least one Whatnot shop in the organization to import and see analytics.
- Demo organizations cannot upload CSVs or mutate calendar/inventory/settings; Orion is capped (e.g. 20 messages/month).
- Estimated margin depends on inventory COGS you enter — sales CSV alone does not include your cost of goods.
- WhatCopilot is a third-party tool, not affiliated with Whatnot, and is not accounting or tax advice.

FAQ
- Do I need a Whatnot API connection?
- No. WhatCopilot works from the official Seller Weekly Orders Report CSV you download from Whatnot — there is no scraping and no official Whatnot affiliation.
- What is the demo mode?
- The demo lets you explore a sample organization with limited Orion messages. Most write actions (imports, inventory edits, calendar edits, visuals generation) are read-only.
- How large can my CSV be?
- Uploads are capped at 25 MB, with a soft guideline of about 100,000 rows. Processing runs asynchronously — watch status on the Imports page.
